The end of the year coming closer and the release of the PlayStation 5 is just around the corner. One game I’m waiting for for anxiously is the new Rachet and Clank Rift Apart. With a new title in the franchise, and not having played a Rachet and Clank since I was young, I ran out and picked up a copy of Rachet and Clank released in 2016. To my understanding it’s a reimagining of the first game, as well as being based on the 2016 movie of the same name. And if you haven’t gathered thus far, remakes are my bread and butter. There’s something special about picking up a game and being transported back in time to younger days. Rachet and Clank was first introduced in 2002.
Insomniac Games developed Rachet and Clank with Sony Computer Entertainment published it. The game follows the anthropomorphic creature Rachet meeting the robot Clank on his home planet. Rachet himself is what’s known as a Lombax, and Clank, is despite his diminutive size, a deadly WARBOT! Albeit, a tiny one. After escaping the warbot factory, Clank tries to warn the galaxy of the big bad Chairman Drek. Unfortunately he crash lands en route to his destination and thus, crossed paths with the future furry hero for the first time. Together they start an adventure seeking the help of Captain Qwark, the galaxy’s most prominent hero!
Here’s hoping the remake is just as good as the original! Hopefully it’ll help the time pass before we can finally get some answers as to who the female Lombax is that we saw in the announcement trailer! If Rachet and Clank was childhood favorite, drop a like and comment! Everyone remember to stay safe out there and remember to come back next week! Have a wonderful weekend and happy Father’s Day!
