Ah, is there anything better in this world than nerd love? When John and I decided to get married, I knew we couldn’t just have a traditional wedding, it just wasn’t us. I wanted our wedding to be special, memorable, and most importantly, fun! We agreed that a Harry Potter themed wedding would be a great choice for us.
One of the first things we had to decide on was the “Save the Date” cards. If you are also trying to plan your perfect nerdy day of love, I really recommend looking on Etsy. There are tons of choices for different fandoms and you get to support a person working on their art and skill. We chose ones that resembled the front page of the Daily Prophet.
We decided on subtle little things to decorate our wedding with as we were also doing our wedding on a small budget. I think the little things made all the difference on our special day.
To top it all off, instead of a normal reception with a DJ, we decided to have a murder mystery! We are fortunate enough to live in an area where we were able to hire a professional group to come in and entertain us.
